I have formally submitted the Petition (with HPARA Subcommittee Approval) to the Senate Committee for Community Affairs Reference Subcommittee. It has been acknowledged. This is now before the Committee for 'acceptance'. I had addressed it to the Chair of the Inquiry on "Medical Complaints in Australia" They have noted that the Confidential List of signatories without emails and contacts etc does not comply with the 'rules' (http://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Petitions/~/link.aspx?_id=6EA3F092B640468F8CB6AD3F23F2EACA&_z=z) In turn, I have replied that as the matter is highly sensitive, confidentiality will be strictly maintained except for the Foundation Committee Members and others who have given consent (or who have specifically requested for public display). This exemption is being considered. A HPARA Subcommittee had decided that tactically, it would be best to submit now rather than after 16 Nov when the Report back is due. On another matter, I have been asked to meet a Senator on a date after the Report when there is no sitting of Parliament. If you wish me to include your name on the list of aggrieved persons, please write a one page description of your case and give consent for this to be disclosed to the Senator (who sits on the Committee).
