Petition updateCommute the 25 Year Mandatory Minimum Sentence for Michael GilesVolunteers NEEDED, to join the fight.

It is with great disappointment to notify Michael’s supporters that On May 18th, we found out that our appeal had been denied from Michael’s last hearing. After taking a few days to gather our thoughts–and emotions, we have decided to push on with our fight. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much of an explanation on why the appeal was denied. We have a few other options; however, they are very limited and somewhat costly.
We have reached a desperate hour of sorts, and at this time we ask for help from the public. Throughout this process we’ve had support from numerous State’s Representatives, Congressmen, and Senators. This year State Senator Greg Evers and Representative Combee sponsored that they described as being inspired by Michael’s case. Unfortunately as it stands that very bill CANNOT help him come home unless we are able to win him a new trial.
We are asking for volunteers to help us reach out to people in power to bring Michael home. It can be hard fighting for Michael round the clock and maintaining a full-time job, so a few volunteers for his cause would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in helping by calling State Representatives, contacting the news, or simply sending follow-up emails, please email me at justiceformike14gmail.com.
Please continue to pray for Mike as we continue to fight.
Note: The aforementioned hearing was not for the clemency hear that pertains to this petition. His petition will remain open and gather signatures.
