Transparency Still Needed for the Sunset Crossroads Project

Months after the Sunset Crossroads project was approved, the public still does not have easy access to the finalized documents that clearly show what was actually adopted by the Banning City Council.
A recently released “transparency report” does not accurately reflect what was approved by the City Council on April 14, 2026. Transparency should mean providing the public with the final, adopted documents—not summaries or interpretations.
Even more concerning, the City’s Sunset Crossroads webpage still shows documents that were last updated in 2025, making it difficult for residents to determine exactly what governs this project today.
Show us the final adopted documents in one accessible place.
The public deserves access to the final adopted documents—not summaries, interpretations, or outdated drafts.
The citizens of Banning deserve:
- Easy access to the final adopted Sunset Crossroads documents.
- Clear identification of what was approved by the City Council.
- A transparent public record that eliminates confusion and builds trust.
We will continue advocating for greater transparency and accountability so every resident has access to accurate, up-to-date information about one of the largest development projects in our community.
If you agree that the public deserves clear and accessible information, please continue sharing this petition with your friends and neighbors.
