Update on Legal Funds and Donations
 
We wanted to give everyone a quick update on where things stand with the attorney fees and donations. As of now, the remaining balance is $1,751.50. Several of you have posted or messaged that you've mailed checks, and we thank you! Balances will be updated as payments are received. Reminder, we talked with the attorney about raising funds, and he said simple ways are good. Hence, why we are moving forward as we are.
 
To recap: Funds originally covered!
The original retainer for the attorney was $1,000 and the investigative fees came to $600.
 
To recap: Funds that need to be paid.
The updated invoice from the attorney, covering everything through April 30th, is $4,437.50
We've received $2,686 in donations so far
That leaves us with a remaining balance of $1,751.50
 
To recap: Funds that are anticipated.
Hearing/trial hours, minimum of 3-5 hours
Final preparations of attorney 1-2 hours
Final meeting with attorney 30 minutes
Approximately an additional $4,000 to $6,000

We’re also setting up a spreadsheet to track all donations and will be posting daily updates to keep everyone informed. Transparency is very important to us, and we want to make sure you're all in the loop.
 
As for the investigation we’ve been advised to hold off on sharing details for now, especially knowing there may be opposing members in the group. We will share everything following the hearing on July 10th. We want you to know the full story, but we also want to protect the integrity of our case.
