To the Hon Members of Parliament, Ministers for Multicultural Affairs, Human Rights Commissioners, and Local Government Leaders,

We, the undersigned, respectfully urge you to consider and support the enactment of the Community Inclusion and Mediation Act, proposed by Vincent Marty, Founder of NaturismRE, as a national initiative to prevent cultural conflict, strengthen social cohesion, and address rising tensions around emerging lifestyles and public expression.

WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY INCLUSION AND MEDIATION ACT?
This Act offers a compassionate, practical, and non-punitive approach to addressing cultural misunderstandings and public disputes. It aims to:

Foster inclusion and mutual respect in increasingly diverse communities
Promote tolerance for non-harmful lifestyle expressions such as naturism
Prevent escalation of conflict through peaceful mediation services
Support evidence-based community education to dispel fear, bias, and misinformation
Recognise the dignity of all lawful individuals and emerging movements in public life
KEY FEATURES OF THE PROPOSED ACT:
1. Community Education & Awareness
Local governments will be funded to run public campaigns promoting:

Tolerance of lawful diversity (including naturist and alternative lifestyles)
Respectful conduct in shared spaces
Empathy, understanding, and informed discussion
2. Inclusion Support Grants
Funding will be available for councils and non-profits to:

Host workshops or public forums on cultural understanding
Support underrepresented voices in media and discourse
Create accessible resources to correct misconceptions and reduce stigma
3. Community Mediation Services
Local mediation panels will be established to help resolve disputes related to:

Public nudity complaints (where behaviour is lawful and peaceful)
Neighbourhood or cultural disagreements
Misunderstandings surrounding diversity in public space
Mediators will be specially trained in conflict resolution, trauma-informed practice, and cultural competence to ensure neutral, respectful outcomes.

4. National Community Inclusion Index
An annual report, led by the Australian Human Rights Commission, will track:

Community tolerance levels
Effectiveness of mediation services
Public engagement with inclusion education
Representation of diverse groups in local leadership
WHY THIS MATTERS:
As Australia becomes increasingly diverse in both background and beliefs, it is essential that we build pathways toward understanding, not confrontation. From misunderstandings about lawful naturism, to tensions around cultural practices, we cannot afford to allow fear and misinformation to erode social cohesion.

This Act does not change existing laws regarding offensive behaviour. Instead, it gives everyday Australians the tools to resolve issues peacefully, through education, dialogue, and mutual respect.
