Dear Ogden City Council,

The average cost per acre to acquire all Ogden School District for public parks is less than $215,000 per acre. This price is well below the $250,000 per acre authorized in the approved Ogden City Master Parks Plan. As valued in Ogden increases so will the price of vacant land. The time to act is now.

We are in favor of adding park acreage for Ogden citizens. Please use my voice to support your vote in purchasing ALL school district vacant land for city parks.

Dear City Leadership,

Please vote in favor of securing the vacant land currently under you contractual control.  Do not pass on your option to purchase Grandview as that is already part of the park. Do not allow a private developer to purchase the Grandview property. Ogden City Council and Ogden City Mayor are the only entities that have 100% control over the Grandview property. Please do not waive your right to purchase the property for us, the citizens.

I am in favor of our City Council exercising your option to purchase the property to add into our city park system. We trust that you hear our collective voice and you will use your vote to vote in favor of our citizens.

Dear Ogden City,

I understand that you may want to citizens option to purchase Ogden School District property in favor of purchasing  one home for $385,000 on ½ acre.

Is it admirable that you are paying market rate or above to help one person stay in the house?

What are the current lease terms that you are obligating Ogden per real estate law?

Why is the city interfering with private market demand and other factors for an existing home?

Why would you authorize paying market rate for one property but not willing to consider buying all school district vacant land to add public park space for thousands of residence benefit?

3875 Jackson (Grandview) is $349,000 per acre vs. 685 North Jackson (House) at $385,000 for ½ acre.  How does that pencil for the benefit of neighborhoods and citizens at large?

Please uses your vote to pass on the home and use your vote to secure all vacant land for our people and their park space. We need more park space.
