Petition updatePFAS Blood Testing for Residents of Westfield, MA Exposed to Contaminated Drinking Water

PFAS Blood Testing Finally coming to Westfield Residents... but not to all of us.

Westfield Residents Advocating For Themselves
Jul 21, 2019

You asked. They answered!!!

On Tuesday, July 23rd, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will be holding a Public Information Session at the Westfield Intermediate School at 350 Southampton Road from 5:30-8pm, to discuss the PFAS Exposure Assessment about to begin in our Community.

You may notice on their Community Page (link below) they have chosen to only sample residents from the side of the City North of the Westfield River, leaving roughly half of our community unsampled.

Please, if you are a Westfield resident attend this meeting no matter which side of town you live on. The ATSDR will be explaining their decision, answering your questions, and listening to your feedback.

WRAFT will be there with UMASS Scientists, and the leader of our sister community group GreenCAPE, to help answer questions about volunteering for our proposed Mass PFAS Study.  We will have the Initiative Petition for connection to the Tighe Carmody Reservoir  available for registered voters to sign.

Thank you for your support!!!
