At the beginning of every Pinal County Board of Supervisors Meeting is the “Call to the Public”, when the public can tell their elected officials their concerns. During the “call to the Public” a The United Citizens will address the Board of Supervisors and hand deliver printed copies of the Citizen Request For an Investigation and Report on How Pinal County Government officials conducted themselves in relation to Johnson Utilities Hydrogen Sulfide Violations Pete Rios wanted us to talk to him, here is our answer! It’s important for Pinal County officials to know that we don’t approve of their actions and that we want people that have taken money from Johnson Utilities associates, to RECUSE THEMSELVES form voting or participating in matters related to Johnson Utilities. The more people that show up the better. If you want to, you can speak to the Pinal County Supervisors for up to 3 minutes, but you don’t have to. If you attempt to discuss too much, you risk running out of time. As a general rule, it is best to write down and read your message to the Board on a single 8.5" x 11" page. This will help your message remain clear, on target and within the given time. The Board of Supervisors are not able to make decisions on any issues not listed in the day's agenda items. Do not expect Board Members to discuss or address your concern on the same day. However, you can always expect friendly leaders who are willing to listen. If the Board desires to discuss your issue, they will set a date for that discussion during another meeting. Why? It is not OK for Pete Rios and Todd House to take campaign contributions from George Johnson, his family, and associates. Then vote to not impose penalties on Johnson Utilities. It’s like giving Johnson Utilities an $1,000,000 gift. It is not OK for Johnson Utilities to promise to build a $2.5 million Mechanical Waste Water Treatment Plant for months, then when they have $1,000,000 in potential penalties eliminated, decide to NOT build a mechanical plant, and instead offer a up a “compliance plant that JU described as a “Band-Aid solution”, that was not even approved (as required) by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
