Stop persecution of Lithuanians that were involved in communist structures before 1991.

We demand equality in law for all the citizens of the country despite their political status. We see it as totally intolerable practice when President of Lithuania Grybauskaite has been always successful in her repeated attempts to escape any punishment for her voluntary cooperation with the KGB during her studies at the Zhdanov State University in Leningrad. Such facts only raise doubts over the competence and sincerity of the key politician of the country. In view of total impunity of the state leader we consider as even a greater injustice the persecution of other people with far less apparent involvement in the communist structures used to be active on the Lithuanian territory. The memories of the 1991 events in Vilnius have been vivid with many people in this country so far with the criminal proceedings in the aftermath of this case still underway. And it's not a rare occasion at all when political opponents of Grybauskaite are just designated as the guilty ones in violation of all the international and European laws. This is not how it should stay in a really free independent European country. We demand that those violators should be brought to answer while the dictatorship of the government portraying themselves as democrats should be stopped at last. Otherwise, what was the grand idea of our entrance into the Council of Europe? Or what does the Universal Declaration of Human Rights regulates actually?
