We are heartened to see that even in the midst of deeply troubling warning signs about the 2020 election, we have surpassed a very important milestone on the way to opening up the U.S. political system to more voices and better choices.

While the dominant narrative ignores diverse political voices from outside the two-party duopoly, growing numbers of US citizens are standing up for free and fair elections that give We the People a shot at healthy self-government. That includes, obviously, the essential need to include all ballot-qualified candidates in a series of presidential debates ahead of the November election.

3/4 Americans agree that if you are on enough state ballots to win the Electoral College, you should be in the debates. But the corrupt CPD has squashed that principled sentiment like a bug, cycle after cycle. 

Not anymore. 

If enough people raise our voices together, we can break through the stranglehold and hear from silenced voices across the political spectrum. 

Now that the Libertarian, Green, and Constitution Parties have nominated their presidential tickets, we can start to advocate for the inclusion of Jo Jorgensen, Howie Hawkins, and Don Blankenship in all presidential polls and early debates. Other third party and independent voices deserve to be part of the conversation as well. Roque De La Fuente has been nominated by the Reform Party and Alliance Party. Gloria La Riva has been nominated by the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Plenty of other earnest candidates are trying to improve this nation by putting themselves forward. 

Putting fairness to these candidates aside, the most important principle to advance is that We the People of the United States both deserve to learn about our actual ballot choices and need to learn about them in order to make well-informed decisions. The fact that ANY gatekeepers get in the way -- whether they be political insiders, media gatekeepers, or corrupt institutions set up by the Ds & Rs to protect their own power -- MUST BE CHALLENGED FEROCIOUSLY, EVEN BY RANK-AND-FILE Ds & Rs. 

So let's spread the word that this year is different. Let's jump from 25,000 to 50,000 signatures in the next five days. Let's pull out all the stops to ensure that Jorgensen, Hawkins, Blankenship, and any other candidates who get on enough state ballots to make a significant impact on this race get at least some nationally televised debate time alongside Trump and Biden.
