Hello everyone,
It has been a while since the last update but today in the mail a number of you, if not all of you, should have received a leaflet from Oakwood homes regarding an upcoming Town Hall and opportunity to talk to the Oakwood leadership directly.
Here is the contents of the leaflet:
Dear Reunion Residents
At Oakwood Homes, we welcome community feedback. As we continue our work in the Reunion neighborhood, we're grateful for the opportunity to hear and respond to residents' questions. On April 20th, we'd like to give Reunion's residents the opportunity to hear from our leadership team directly. At 5:30 PM at the Bison Ridge Recreation Center, we invite you to join us for a town hall featuring Oakwood's Jim Hayes, vice president of land acquisitions and entitlements; Bruce Rau, president of land acquisitions; and Aric Jones, senior division president for the Denver division.
Please register at reunionneighborhood.com to share your questions and feedback with our team. All questions must be submitted prior to the meeting
Oakwood Homes took over as the master developer of Reunion in August 2017. The last three years have been challenging. disrupted by a pandemic, national labor shortage and global supply chain crisis. As we emerge from the pandemic, I want to assure every resident that Oakwood has always supported and continues to support the development of Reunion as a community and the Reunion Center in Commerce City.
Since its inception, the Reunion Center has depended on a successful partnership between Oakwood Homes, the City of Commerce City, and private commercial, retail and sports management groups. The participation of Oakwood's public and private partners was, understandably, limited by the severe financial strains of the COVID-19 pandemic. Oakwood remains firmly committed these partnerships, and we continue to engage public and private stakeholders on the actions necessary to advance our collective vision for Reunion.
We greatly appreciate the trust and patience of Reunion's residents. In partnership with City officials, we are working diligently to support the delivery of all the commercial and communal amenities that help make our Reunion neighborhood great.
For more information on the Reunion Center's development, please visit reunionneighborhood.com, and please attend our in-person
town hall on April 20th. We look forward to hearing from you all.
Sincerely.
Scott Thorson
Chief Operating Officer, Oakwood Homes
