At the City Council meeting today, Karen Palus informed the Council that the meeting to seek public input will not be the customary format where the City presents an overview of the proposal and then opens it up to the public for questions which, obviously, benefits all parties to be able to hear wide variety of perspectives and is, in fact, the intent of public meetings. We understand that while this may be, tactically, a wise choice to minimize public sharing of objections or potential media coverage of objections, neighbors will not be able to benefit from hearing the both positives and negatives shared by others. So, we encourage you to email City Council at allCouncil@springs.gov and request the the public get the same presentation the City received and be allowed to publicly share their thoughts as is the case in most matters of such magnitude.
