A little update y'all. I have been researching non stop since I have started this petition to encourage Colorado to Make Paternity Fraud a Crime. I have stumbled upon quite a bit. I wanted to do some digging and look into the "Dad by Default" and Non Biological Fathers paying child support. The information that I stumbled upon is just mind blowing. This is when I discovered that Colorado in fact, has a long, long history of ensuring that non biological fathers pay child support for children that they did not partake in making. A Colorado Appeal's case involving a minor child named A.C.H., and a non biological parent being ordered to pay child support.
"While A.C.H. was the first time a non-parent has been ordered to pay child support to an actual parent, there have been cases where psychological parents were ordered to pay support to other psychological parents. Colorado has a 25-year history of requiring non-parents to pay support under limited circumstances."

Psychological Parent Duty To Pay Child Support In Colorado (graham.law)
So, what if there is no psychological attachment? If there is no psychological attachment with the child, then why force a man to pay child support? I can tell you why, because it is in the state's best interest because of the financial gain!
