This petition represents the voice of students who stand in solidarity with our Ontario College’s faculty who we depend on for our education. We urge the Council to return to the bargaining table and seek a workable compromise in the best interest of all involved.

As students we know better paid faculty with secure employment translates into a better educational environment. The Council’s brinkmanship around a strike is jeopardizing the best interest of students and their well-being. Especially for those whose lives center around the school year calendar - a strike would have huge ramifications for internships, graduation timelines, scholarships, visas, housing, loans, and more.

All we are asking of the Council is to keep talking to our faculty’s union and avert a strike.
