"Found guilty of professional misconduct. Licence suspended for 10 months, 4 months of which is remitted if member successfully completes 2 half-day didactic mentorship sessions relating to animal restraint and behaviour modification techniques and the rationale, 1 half-day mentorship session educating the member on the academic and scientific bases for animal restraint and behaviour modification techniques, an online certificate program in proper animal restraint and behaviour modification, a seminar on the low stress handling of animals, 1 day shadowing session to obtain exposure to and witness the application of the most current methods of appropriate animal restraint and behaviour modification techniques and a paper addressing what was learned in each section of the program. A condition and limitation is placed on the licence which imposes that the member be subject to 3 unannounced inspections each year for 2 years. Suspension shall commence no later than August 20, 2016. Must pay costs to the College of $10,000. Reprimand issued."
