The Bitcoin community is overwhelmingly in support of Segregated Witness ("SegWit"), which is a backwards compatible protocol upgrade that provides protection from transaction malleability and increases block capacity on the Bitcoin network.

Using SegWit will allow more transactions to be included within a block and will minimize fees for anyone who chooses to take advantage of this feature.

As arguably one of the largest Bitcoin wallets and exchanges in the world, we ask that you continue to stand by your company priorities (as listed on your "Mission" page) and continue to be the "most trusted" and "easiest to use" platform for your users by making SegWit implementation a high priority on your 2018 agenda.

Brian Armstrong stated in his  Bloomberg interview that SegWit is "probably not in the top 5 next things that our customers are requesting", but I bring this petition to you to argue that this isn't the case. Your customers would like to see this feature implemented as a top priority in 2018.

As stated on your Mission page: "Imagine if every payment in the world was as fast, cheap, and global as sending an email."

SegWit is the next step to allowing this to happen with Bitcoin.
