Our libraries were given a temporary reprieve from the chopping block for FY 2018, but for FY 2019 they are going to be shut down. The libraries are being asked to cut almost $3 million dollars from their budget. This will be a SHUTTING DOWN of 8 libraries in our system-- with the gem of East Cobb Library being on the top of the list.

We are asking that you be open to fighting for a small millage rate increase. The exact numbers are based upon the type of house you have.  East Cobb and Cobb County libraries are lifesavers to the babies in their story sessions, the students who come there to pick up a book or take a tutoring session, to the adult who wants to grab a novel or the latest DVD. For some of our senior citizens this is their home away from home.

These libraries are our community centers, our second homes. Let's fight for them. Please sign this petition and share it.
