The Cobb Planning Commission will hear the Quik Trip rezoning for the 4th time Tuesday December 5th about 10 am at the Commission building 100 Cherokee St just off Marietta Square.  If you can attend to show your opposition that would be great.  IF you have not signed the petition yet or your family or neighbors have not signed please do so.  Or you can email Commissioner JoAnn Birrell and ask  her to deny Z 30. JoAnn.Birrell@Cobbcounty.org

Here are a few other links to video of traffic shot on Canton and Jamerson around this site.  It is a busy intersection. There are  no medians in the center lane to protect drivers going north and south on Canton Road. The proposed QT would add 2,057 visitors to the site every day. There are not adequate access driveways on  Jamerson or Canton to accommodate this volume of traffic. Compare the Racetrac to the south on Shallowford to this site. That tells the story.

This site was built out for use as a drug store. It is an attractive building. IF this is approved the building will be demolished and a QT C-Store will be built in its place with 16 fuel pumps.  This is across the street from two gas stations.

One will be forced out of business.  That is NOT right and this is NOT the right location for a large gas station.
