We have our first working group meeting Tomorrow to see how industry is feeling/dealing with this ban. In my experience in the last few weeks, I see lots of buses sittin in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Well, not nearly as many as I used to see around the island. I see some buses sitting for a while on the island. I’ve heard stories of rude parking ambassadors and good ones dealing with the various buses. I’ve seen the market empty on far more days than it is full, and the streets as well. There have been some busy days on the island, but not as many as I’ve seen in years past, and it’s the same story I hear from most of the vendors. I take pics he days I’m there on the island of the market and they tell the story, open aisles during lunch time. There are lots of good changes on the island, new lines, properly divided stalls, pedestrian barriers to discourage jaywalkers, some paving and such, but the congestion issues on the street persist. We’re still dealing with personal vehicles double parking and blocking traffic is there. Baby steps I suppose. I’ll let you know how the first meeting goes
