New policy?

We just got word of the new policy. There is some leeway, but there is nothing to a actually fight the congestion on the island. The policy is only driving business away. Discussions with merchants this evening resulted in some very displeased members of the business community on the island, as the industry surveys, formally and informally, show that every major tour company is going to be removing Granville Island from their itineraries. Merchants, most of whom are unaware of the policy change, let alone how it’s going to impact them are not happy. I’ll post more about the policy changes tomorrow. There is some give happening, but not what we were hoping for.
