The Roadmap for this Petition

Dear Fellow signatories,

CONGRATULATIONS FOR HAVING SIGNED UP FOR PROTESTING AGAINST THE WRONG & ARBITRARY #ElectricityLagaan!! 

1>We shall send the first Representation to the Competent Authorities as soon as we have the first 25,000 signatures. If the unlawful charges are withdrawn by then, then we have attained victory. However if the Authorities haven't withdrawn the same then we shall have no choice but to send a reminder;

2>We shall send such a reminder / follow up as soon as we have 50,000 signatures. If the unlawful charges are withdrawn by then, then we have attained victory. However if the Authorities haven't withdrawn the same even after this follow up/ reminder then we shall have no choice but to file a Case/Petition before the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) asking it to withdraw its back-breaking regulation;

3>We shall file such a Petition before the HERC with mutual consent, as soon as we have attained 1,00,000 signatures. If the #HERC withdraws this regulation which is bad in law, then the problem shall stand resolved. However if the HERC refuses to do so then we shall have no choice but to file a Public Interest Litigation (#PIL) before the Punjab & Haryana High Court at #Chandigarh (#PHHC);

4>We shall file such a PIL before the High Court if all of us are of the opinion that we must do so and a decision to file this is taken with mutual consent and cooperation as soon as we have reached 5,00,000 signatures or thereabout.

Hence since numbers make a big difference in the outcome of such petitions as ours, no matter how noble the cause be, kindly share this petition to each and everyone in your circle and let us ensure that we do get to the desired number of signatures at the earliest.
