Stop the Killing of Darlinghurst Road Now!

With the lodgement of a second Development Application Iris Capital and Sam Arnaout are now within striking distance of killing Kings Cross forever.

The DA is to develop the blocks from Blake’s Chemist to the Empire Hotel, razing everything to the ground and then digging down 15 metres.

During the expected 4 years of hell, dust and noise every business in the vicinity will have died, and near-by residents will be at their wits’ ends as the barrage of explosions and building clatter will be un-relentless from 7am to 5pm six days a week.

The development has the footprint of almost an entire block and will effectively strip Darlinghurst Road of any semblance of character will render the suburb characterless and without diversity.

Last petition collected 12,500 signatures so let’s make this even more successful.
