Thank you. Due to the public pressure from everyone who got involved, signed petitions, wrote letters of objection and passed the word around, the council have scrapped the proposal. Thank you to all those who took part, we have made the administration listen, and made them u-turn on what would have been a very damaging policy. I only wish that the proposals had been scrapped straight away by the leadership, to have avoided all the unnecessary worry and extra work for local businesses and residents in fighting this potentially damaging policy. The fight, however, still continues over charging in our country parks, which will still affect many residents across Wirral, as well as some businesses near to the parks.
