Good Evening Everyone,
How are we all doing? finally getting over Christmas and New year?
I am going to get straight to the point tonight, this was never going to be an easy email to write let alone send and it is one that I am doing with a sad face.
I have handed in my notice, I have resigned from my role as ACSO, it was not a decision I made lightly but in my heart of hearts it is the right thing for me, I have had the most amazing 5 years, I know 5 years can you believe it has been that long!!!
I remember my boss at the time telling me I was being transferred over here from Gosport and thinking “hythe hmmm really?” and then my first day came around, it was kind of like your first day at school all over again, but within a couple hours I did think “yeah I like this, this might be alright” and it was…
In my 5 years I have laughed a lot, had some sad moments, also had some moments where I have gone “you have got to be kidding me” some moments where I have banged my head gentle on the desk!!!
I have dealt with some interesting things along the way, drunk male trying but failing to ride a bike with traffic cone on his head calming to be Harry Potter, theft of veg, some real heart warming things and some sad things.
I have lost count of how many dogs and cats I have reunited with their owners, cats I lost count of a long time ago as the cats we have in this Parish are a right rowdy bunch who just go AWOL whenever they feel like it!! But I did reunite a tortoise once.
I will take away some really lovely memories with me, and the one I love most is how welcome you lot made me feel.
My time here I will cherish, I have been truly blessed to have been able to work along side some really fabulous people and organisations from The Handy Trust, Dibden Youth, Its your Choice, Hants Fire and Rescue, Adult and child services Mental health teams, all the schools and churches and so many more…
If I could thank each and everyone of you I would, but lets be honest it will take me forever, so please except this as a “MASSIVE THANK YOU” from me, you have supported me and the community safety service and that means the world to me, you made doing my job fun and enjoyable.
I am currently working out my notice period and fulfilling my commitments and then I will be waving goodbye to you all!!!!
But lets be honest we have had fun along the way, we worked well as a team!!!!!!
