Mr Brace (and anybody else) is lawfully entitled to make any number of legitimate Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to Wirral Council & other public sector organisations. Wirral Council has a disgraceful reputation for refusing, and delaying numerous FOI requests which have been eventually overturned by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). It is appalling conduct for a local councillor to attempt to discredit a Wirral resident, journalist, Council tax and tax payer in public, and for it to be reported widely in the media. Cllr Adrian Jones 'scolding' was inappropriate, and a deliberate attempt to discredit Mr Brace in public, and just plain wrong. No apology has been forthcoming and the demand for an apology from the Council Leader & his Cabinet member, is for it now to be made in public, and broadcast through the media, to balance out Mr Brace's embarrassment. This could have been any one of us, that is how much respect Wirral Councillors hold for the public they represent.
