Because Curtis is serving as an elected official (despite being appointed), the Board of Supervisors cannot remove him from office.
It appears that there are only 2 ways to remove him from office, aside from voting him out of office (which has already happened and will take effect on January 3, 2027):
1. People could go through a recall (but would not likely have time before he’ll leave office anyway)
2. The Grand Jury could investigate and then refer to the District Attorney
