Stop Veterinary Practices inflated prices and hidden charges.

Stop Veterinary Practices inflated prices and hidden charges.
The Issue
Ask the Government to enforce satisfactory guidelines to stop Veterinary Practices charging extortionate fees for Treatments, Prescriptions & Tablets.
A vet charges £23.50 (£19.58 +VAT) to write out a prescription for 1 item of medication and £28.13 ( £23.44 + VAT) for 2 items +
20 x Therios Tablets to treat dogs costs £51.57 inc VAT from a Vet
20 x Therios Tablets are available online for as little as 25p each = £6.00 inc VAT
As a result, we the undersigned would like the government to set reasonable prices for writing prescriptions and ensure that Veterinary Practices inform customers that Medication is available from other sources and that customers are permitted to take the Prescription else where, the same as human's do with Chemists.
The poor excuses of overhead costs and fake tablets online are no longer acceptable as there are plenty of sites that require the Prescription beforehand. The petition is to ask for the above to be made common knowledge in Veterinary Practices
