Many people are supporting a bus driver by the name of Artis Hughes, who on September 18, 2012 took measure of punishment into his own hand, where he clearly could have taken other action to calm the situation early. A viral video was posted on youtube and other video outlets, that showed a young woman arguing with a man, assuming it was the bus driver Artis Huges. The bus driver made several remarks that was threathening to the young woman which could have clearly provoked her to continue her rant. The first was, "I'll get my daughter to come and whip your Ass," Contining he said, "As a matter of a fact, I'll get my granddaughter to come whip your ass." Mr. Hughes was also heard in the video calling the girl scar face, or something regarding her look. Now, the young lady was out of line by touching the driver, but before touching him, Mr. Hughes made these remarks. Mr. Hughes violently hit the young lady, and it was recording and posted all over the internet video sites, in order to accomplish embarrassment for the young woman. They call it the uppercut of the century, and many other things to demean the young lady.

Mr. Hughes should not get his job back because he could have done several things to calm the situation before it got out of hand. First, he should have asked her to pay or get off the bus and wait for the next bus. Secondly, he should have asked her to sit down and stop disturbing the other customer's on the bus, and forwarn her that if she did not stop he would call the authorities. If none of his rules were followed, after he asked calmly, then he should have stopped the bus, called the police, made a report and waited for them to call him back.

Instead, he took matters into his own hand by delivering a punch that not many men could stand much less a woman. Following the punch he threw her off the bus and threw her belongings off the bus, when the young lady got back onto the bus. He got into yet another female rider who said, "stop, that's a girl you can't hit her like that." Mr. Hughes then told her, "if she can act like a man, then imma treat her like a man." If this is how professional bus driver's are going to act in our society today, then we need to rethink who's driving. Maybe consider robot driver's because to defend his actions is not only horrific, but also shows a very low standard of community in our society. Please keep this man out of public!
