On July 27, 2024, Donald Trump reiterated his promise to free Ross. During his speech at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, he said: "Today, I repeat my pledge to commute the sentence of Ross Ulbricht to a sentence of time served. It's enough. It's enough!"
