Petition updateCLEAN UP COAL ASH ON LAKE NORMAN, NCNCDEQ/Politian Contacts on Upcoming Coal Ash Decision
Coal AshDavidson, NC, United States
Mar 6, 2019

In the next couple of months, North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) https://deq.nc.gov will make a decision on the method of Duke Energy's removal of the coal ash mess at our Marshall Steam Plant on Lake Norman.

Please keep up any pressure possible to have them make the right decision to fully excavate and remove the poisonous coal ash away from the waterways to fully lined storage pits.

The Iredell County Board of Commissioners just voted to support this method of removal as well. https://www.co.iredell.nc.us/616/Board-of-Commissioners

Here are email addresses to some of our local and regional politicians, and NCDEQ leadership. Please call/email your representatives! Keep the pressure on, so they make the right decision to excavate and remove the poisonous coal ash away from the waterways to fully lined storage pits.
