Dear Friends,
Thank you again for supporting the petition to clean up Canal Street. Thanks to your help, we’ve gathered over 1,400 signatures — and the NYPD has taken action. However, their ability to arrest or confiscate illegal marijuana from unlicensed street peddlers is severely limited by current laws.
We now need to take the next step — and we need your voice again.
Please take a moment to contact State Senator Brian Kavanagh’s office and urge them to support legislation that will:
✅ Allow police to arrest unlicensed marijuana street dealers
✅ Empower law enforcement to confiscate illegal marijuana sales
✅ Help restore safety and order to Canal Street and surrounding areas
