Press releases from local councillors leading for the electorate was a mixed bag
Steve Davis and Tim Rowkins have both made press releases this week.
The one with power (Tim ) mostly repeating the promises to do better
The one wanting power (Steve) pointing at how bad at keeping promises they all must be if the environment isn't being healed. Then promising to do better.
Particularly wrong is Tim's statement about working with the community to improve recycling but
No mention of response to plans they have been ignoring to improve the environment with the community.
We know we have their plans but why are our plans not being considered?
A simple no thank you would do but pretending they don't exist is an injustice given
- they work
- increase the public purse
- independently verified as viable
Obviously Steve's piece about the dirty incinerator was a headline grabber but it's Clean Air and Clean Streets not more blaming the contract.
Please share and support an all party contract with the community so that Greenbox and other services can thrive.
If we don't get a clear response to the plans sitting on an council officer desk then it's hugely uncertain that Greenbox will continue into 2025.
Please share on as many platforms as you can. Write to the press. This is a Brighton and Hove petition and it's here where we need more signatures
Thank you
