Andrew Fenwick has been very busy.  He has been meeting with the State MP for Cessnock - Clayton Barr and the local Mayor-  Jay Suvaal.  It now appears that we have some support from Clayton Barr.

The New South Wales State Parliament has now been petitioned to purchase the old Cessnock line that was used by the coal mines as a step towards the reinstating of passenger services.

This story appeared in the Herald yesterday:

If you haven't already done so, could you please go to Andrew's website and complete this little 5 minute survey:

https://traintocessnock.org/

Andrew has also been interviewed on the radio about the need for the Cessnock line to be reopened. You can listen to the interview here:

You may also like to follow the campaign on Facebook:

Things are really gaining momentum. If you would like to do more than just complete Andrew's survey, then please also write to Clayton Barr expressing your need for the reintroduction of passenger rail services to Cessnock:

Mr Clayton Barr, MP
118 Vincent Street
CESSNOCK NSW 2325

Email:
cessnock@parliament.nsw.gov.au

Hopefully there will be even better things to tell you about soon.

Best wishes,

Kate
