2009 Civil Rights Lawsuit Involving Robert Belt Resurfaces

It's recently come to my attention that this present incident isn't the first time that Robert Belt's gotten in trouble for espousing offensive comments. In 2009, Robert Belt was sued by a man named Robert Morton. Morton claimed that, in 2007, Belt had been visiting him, reportedly picking up items for a mutual friend of theirs. When Morton asked Belt to remove his boots while in his home, Belt apparently grew angry, and shouted, "F*** you and your white carpet." Belt proceeded to attack Morton with a flashlight, and allegedly continued harass him with continued attacks and trumped-up traffic stops. It's unclear how the case was handled, though Robert Belt retained his position as a Sheriff Deputy and a bus driver through the incident.
