💔 My Daughter Deserved Better – Help Us Change the Law
In 2014, my 26-year-old daughter Megan—an honors grad, advocate for trafficking victims, and the light of my life—died under suspicious circumstances after dating a man for just 6 weeks. That man was a convicted sex offender who had his felony expunged and was removed from the registry—then allowed to return to EMS work with access to vulnerable women.
No one warned her. No one stopped him.
📢 I’m fighting to change the laws in North Carolina so that:
Sex offenders cannot petition off the registry
Felonies requiring registration cannot be expunged
EMS licensing boards must prioritize public safety
This is Megan’s legacy. I’m her voice now.
