Clackmannanshire council are shortly stopping the uplift of the blue box, which currently lets residents recycle old or broken small electricals, textiles, batteries and glass bottles. They will soon be charging for brown bin uplift (garden waste) 

Not everyone can get to the tip and bottle banks. Bottle banks can fill up quickly and that isn't a resolution. Not everyone can drive or have transport to get to the tip. Carrying heavy bottles etc on a bus isn't very practical and can be physically demanding.

It will also have an impact on the NHS as there will probably be more accidents due to discarded broken glass on the streets. Not exactly a safe environment Clackmannanshire council.

Will also encourage fly tipping which is a health and safety hazard. Landfill is also bad enough as it is without unnecessary items being added.

Council tax going up yet waste services being reduced.

Clacks council should rethink their waste collection change.

I care about recycling yet Clacks council don't seem to be bothered by it all. I also care about my community and want it to be a safe one for everyone.
