The following email has been sent to the Zandvlei Reserve Manager

Dear Kyran

Zandvlei has now been closed for 10 weeks. We are concerned that no figures have been released so that we can understand exactly how polluted the vlei has become. We have requested these figures from various sources to no avail. Please can can you give us the E. Coli figures for all the 10 weeks that the vlei has been shut as well as any other test results about the state of the vlei which you may have received. As residents of the Marina and as citizens we have a right to know in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000. It affects our daily lives.
