We need you to take action now! Your emails are needed urgently to ask council to rescind the RS zoning amendments by referring it to public hearing.
The report to reverse the RS zoning amendments across the city is going to council next Tuesday. Council will decide if they want to reverse the zoning amendments which would require a new public hearing.
The amendments were passed by the previous council, that will increase demolitions of character houses.

I support the referral to public hearing to reverse the recent RS zoning amendments. There doesn't need to be more consultation on this issue since the public was clearly opposed to this rezoning in October.
(You could just send the above statement or add some reasons to support this motion such as:)
Some of the reasons I think the recent RS zoning amendments should be reversed are:
- overrides community plans
- incentivises demolition of character and heritage houses
- has no disincentives for demolition like RT zones
- undermines character house incentives for retention
- reduced minimum onsite parking for new builds
