
Thank you for sending your letters and speaking to council.
Council decided as follows on Sept. 19, 2018:
1. Deferred the RT7/RT8/RT10 rezoning to after the next council is in on Nov. 5. A big win depending on who the new council is.
2. Approved the RS rezoning citywide. Will have to work on getting a good council in who will reverse and improve this to get disincentives for demolitions and incentives for character retention with proper design guidelines.
Good work to everyone who wrote letters and signed up for these.
For RS rezoning, 306 letters against +7000 petition with 73 speakers was a very good turnout.
And the referral for the RT7/RT8 to next council was unprecedented. There were over 100 speakers signed up and 165 letters against, plus our 7000 petition and 225 written petition.
We will have to watch that one and get any new council to drop the hearing. If not, they will require all letters to be resubmitted.
Both of these could be reversed if we get a good council in.
