This particular home, only 20 years old, received a $350,000 renovation just 3 years ago. As Councillor Adriane Carr stated: "It's such an incredible waste of resources at a time in our planet's history when conservation is on everyone's mind". The City of Vancouver issued 1,141 demolition permits in 2015, the most in a decade. By rallying at 6088 Adera Street we will be sending a strong message to City Hall that rampant demolition has no place in “the Greenest City in the World.”
