Whether you are vaccinated or not, medical segregation should cause concern for every employee. No one should ever have to experience the stress and fear of choosing between a medical procedure and being able to keep a roof over their head, pay their bills or feed their families.

Medical history has always been personal information and should remain between an individual and their doctor. Upon hiring, nothing in the collective agreement stated that medical records and procedures would ever be requested.

The City holds itself to a high standard when it comes to representing all types of diversity; the decision to be vaccinated or not should be equally protected. This issue before us may not affect you directly but something down the road may and when that time comes, we will continue to support our union brothers and sisters.
