Currently the city of Saskatoon Bylaws prohibits potbelly and mini pigs from being kept as pets within city limits.

Potbelly pigs are extremely smart easily trained and house broken, clean, quiet, and non aggressive animals that make great pets. Prohibiting people from having them as pets while allowing other more aggressive and invasive animals within city limits is not right.

In the city of Saskatoon we have a farm in the middle of it that has farm animals that we can hear and smell. Having a well behaved animal that causes no noise or damage does not hurt anyone.

The bylaw can be changed to allow for them to be kept in city limits under the same restrictions put on dogs and cats.
