AM/PM Canine Supervision
The Issue
DISCLAIMER: the picture is not the dog - but the sad expression is right on.)
In the city of San Gabriel, area bordering with Arcadia. I have seen and heard many atrocities regarding dog ownership. As a pit bull owner, I understand the attention and care these dogs require to live a happy life.
My neighbor, however cannot seem to understand this. Imagine leaving your little chihuahua in the backyard at 6:30 AM, where the dog will bark continuously for 2 hours until someone has to ask the neighbor to bring the dog in. This same neighbor will leave his little dog outside in his backyard after 10:30 PM and goes on another barking spree until 12:00 AM. You would think this owner would learn right? OF COURSE NOT. The next day hes back at it again with leaving the dog outside alone at odd hours.
I find it very upsetting to see a little dog being left outside alone in the cold. I hardly ever see the owners present and they do very little to comply with the city noise ordinance. It is 100% not the dog's fault as these barks are a cry for help. There is a level of whistling with the bark indicating the poor little guy is stressed.
So far, I've had no luck with the City of San Gabriel, (calling the cops and animal control). the neighbor has allowed their dog to bark and cry like this for several months.
Imagine leaving your child outside in the cold early morning and late night to have a crying spree. That's what I'm seeing here with this poor dog.
If you agree that something must be done to save this poor dog, please sign the petition, I will use this to once again refile my complaint with the city in the hopes that they will take action... Heck at least give a warning to them..
