As taxpayers, we are entitled receive the services available in the community and to live in a pleasant, attractive, and healthy environment. Restricting garbage removal to a biweekly schedule in the summer months will create unpleasant odors with unhealthy side effects, and the attraction of animals. If citizens are obligated to abide by regulations relating to days and times that affect the appearance of the neighborhood, why doesn't this work both ways? If the city cannot accommodate the request to reinstate at this time, the reduction in service should be reflected in our city tax payments.
