Texas is a prime example of how Fossil Companies lobby politicians and pay the media to spread fear and misinformation.

All energy sources were affected by equipment failures, including one of Texas’s four nuclear units. Coal generators are offline, likely due to equipment failures or frozen coal piles. Gas generators have been affected by a combination of gas well freeze-offs cutting production, gas pipeline capacity prioritized for building heating instead of electric power deliveries, and weather-related equipment failures.

Wind and solar output have been above levels expected by ERCOT. When the rolling blackouts began Monday morning, wind output was relatively high. On Monday and Tuesday, solar output was abnormally high for winter, likely because solar panels' efficiency markedly increases in cold weather.

Reach out to your network and ask them to sign this Citizen's Initiative. Together we can stop fossil lobbying and advertising from lying and bullying in Saskatchewan with US-style tactics.
