There I was last week, using an ATM at my bank on Greene Avenue and picked up a copy of the Westmount Independent (a lovely little paper).
Reading the Letters to the Editor, I thought "Hmmm...I should write a letter to thank the City for their work on the crosswalk."
So I did. And it's in this week's edition (January 24th) on page 8.
Also, a number of people have noted that the crosswalk isn't all rainbow cars and unicorn drivers, so you still have to be careful while crossing the street. In fact, there is an article on the same page as the letter about a pedestrian crossing on a GREEN LIGHT a few blocks over who got hit by a reckless (or possibly "green) driver.
Remember: always stop, look and stare down! ;D
Hope your winter is going well and safe!
