Wanted to say thank you to all who have signed, the amount of support is unreal. I really would like to make some changes to this town to make it a place where we are proud to live and where people want to come here...not leave. I would be willing to compromise a move of the statue to a more historically appropriate place in Monroe...i.e., the museum, battlefield, or soldiers and sailors park. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, its time that we are all heard for once. I love the people in my community and I have their best interest at heart, my children are future members of this community and I would like it to support people who have actually helped our community like Coach Rossi, Darren Hoskins, Darrian young, or Cpl Renae Peterson, or a tribute to the Native Americans that lost their lives.
