Constable Greg Savoie was found guilty for abuse of power through a New Brunswick Police Commission investigation.
An arbitration hearing was scheduled for February 14th and 15th, 2019, but was cancelled days before, without explanation, or a rescheduled date in the future. It has come to light that on February 14, 2019, an arbitration hearing was held, without my knowledge and constable Savoie agreed to several terms of his “settlement”. The terms of this settlement are very minor and do not punish constable Savoie to the degree in which his offence equates.
I do not agree with these meek punishments and am highly disturbed that once again, the Miramichi Police Force is sweeping abuse and corruption under the rug.
I will not stand for this. My family has been the target of this officer’s harassment for far too long. I possess all of the proof necessary to expose his abuse and lies, yet the police force and it’s acquaintances are trying to silence me. I know I am not the only person to be affected by this corruption. It is time to hold the Miramichi Police Force and the officer in question, accountable.
