Install water and food feeders at key locations in the City of Miami Beach pilot program.

Install water and food feeders at key locations in the City of Miami Beach pilot program.
The Issue
Miami Beach weather as we all know is summer year round with temperatures rising in the mid nineties during the months of summer.
The community cats, opossums and even the local raccoons suffer from dehydration at many locations.
Concerned residents and tourist have expressed their worries about the animals not having access to fresh water at many locations throughout the city including the boardwalks and city parks and many different neighborhoods in the city, some feeders leave plastic bowls at different locations .. and even if picked up they still are not a good solution.
We are asking the CMB to help find a solution to this problem. A pilot program around the city would be ideal to try to resolve this problem. There are many examples in other cities that have worked and have a positive impact in the community . An example are the feeders and water containers placed in some of the posts. A very reasonable cost effective one as well. PVC tubes with brackets attached. They can be labeled with the city logo or with local non for profits that can help offset part of the cost with donations from the public. Registered feeders from a local npn for profit can be responsible for the maintenance and volunteers can register to upkeep and fill them too.
Please help us help the animals. It is cruel and inhumane to allow animals to die of dehydration.
Please sign the petition to start a conversation with the CMB and beyond.
