This petition aims to end Lethbridge Police Service's Wanted Wednesdays Facebook posts. This is an outdated public shaming approach that has no place in modern policing and modern society. It often whips up prejudice and blame towards  individuals who are already vulnerable. The practice bypasses the presumption of innocence and defines people entirely in terms of their alleged offence. It also promotes ill-informed racist and sexist comments on a public forum, and does nothing at all to promote useful dialogue.

This petition will be forwarded to the Lethbridge Police Service and the Lethbridge Police Commission.
